Moriah's Studio Payment Policy
1. Payment Methods:
Payments for lessons are made through the student's account on MyMusicStaff.com. Students can view their due payments and make payments by logging into their portal and going to the "Accounts and Invoices" section. Please ensure your account is up to date to avoid any payment issues.
2. Payment Schedule:
Lesson fees are due on the first of every month. The monthly rates are as follows:
$165 for 30 minutes per week
$215 for 45 minutes per week
$265 for 60 minutes per week
If a student starts their recurring lessons after the first week of the month, their first month's fee will be prorated at the following rates:
$41.25 for each 30-minute lesson
$53.75 for each 45-minute lesson
$66.25 for each 60-minute lesson
3. Trial Lessons:
The first lesson for new students is a trial lesson offered at a discounted price of $30.
If a student cancels a discounted trial lesson before 24 hours of the scheduled lesson start time, they will not be charged. However, a make-up lesson at the discounted price will not be granted after the first trial lesson cancellation. The lesson may be rescheduled at the one-time full price.
If the instructor needs to cancel a discounted trial lesson, the lesson will be rescheduled at the discounted price.
Only cancellations via email and text will be acknowledged. Verbal notices of cancellations or notice via social media apps will not be acknowledged. Declining a Zoom meeting invitation or canceling a calendar event on MyMusicStaff.com will not be acknowledged as notice.
4. Lesson Rate Changes:
In the case of a change in monthly rates, current students who meet for weekly lessons will receive a 3-month notice of this change before it goes into effect. However, students who have left and returned after a break, as well as students who pay per lesson rather than per month, are not entitled to the 3-month lesson rate change notice. If students do not communicate their wish to discontinue lessons by text or email with 30 days' notice before the lesson rate change, they will be charged the new rate at the start of the new lesson rate change.
5. Cancellation:
Should a student need to cancel recurring lessons, more than 30 days' notice before the end date is required. If less than 30 days' notice is given, the student will still be charged their monthly rate. If more than 30 days' notice is provided, the final month of lessons will be prorated based on the cancellation date. The prorated amount will be due on the first of the month following the cancellation.
6. Late Payment Fees:
A late fee of $15 will be applied to any payments not received by the 5th of the month. If payment is not received by the 15th of each month, lessons may be suspended until the account is brought up to date. There will be no late fee for the first prorated month of lessons until the 15th of the following month.
7. Refunds and Credits:
There are no refunds for missed lessons. Students who provide at least 24 hours' notice for an absence will be eligible for a make-up lesson. Students will still be charged the same monthly rate, regardless of any make-up lessons utilized.
8. Changing Lesson Duration:
Students can change their lesson duration at the start of the next month. Requests to change lesson duration should be communicated to the instructor in advance to ensure availability. Existing make-up lessons that roll over after a lesson duration change will remain the same length as they were before the change.
9. In-Person to Zoom Lesson Requests:
A student may request an in-person lesson to be changed to a Zoom lesson. They must notify the instructor via email or text before 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time the day prior to the lesson. Failure to provide proper notice may result in the lesson being counted as an absence with late or no notice.
10. Policy Review:
This Payment Policy may be reviewed.
